After Action Reports (or After Action Reviews or Post-Incident Assessments) are season-encompassing projects that tell the story of a particular year in wildfire for a specific jurisdiction, usually Provincial or Territorial. They tend to be procured after an impactful wildfire season to explore what happened, how people experienced the season, and what can be done differently in the future. These reports can also discuss specific topics, wildfires, or timelines.

There is extensive live wildfire data from across Canada. The external resources in this collection will help users find relevant up-to-date information from trusted places and develop a greater understanding of the extent of wildfire activity in Canada. It does not include live evacuation information or live status updates from individual wildfires, except where provided by the resources themselves.

They are especially useful for users who are newer to wildfire or unsure where to start. We recognize that a whole-of-society approach to wildfire includes local populations being empowered with access to best practices for resilience.
