Enhancing Northern Community and Ecosystem Resilience to Fire

Northern communities and ecosystems face greater threats from wildfire and require more resiliency supports. This presentation was featured as a short “lightning talk” at the 2025 WRCC Building Foundational Knowledge Gathering, where recipients of Wildfire Resilient Futures Initiative (WRFI) funding from Natural Resources Canada shared key takeaways of their projects and demonstrated how their work is contributing to a more wildfire resilient future.
