Indigenous-Led Fire Stewardship and Adaptive Forestry in British Columbia
Building trust with Indigenous communities is an essential part of ethical research into prescribed burning practices. This presentation was featured as a short “lightning talk” at the 2025 WRCC Building Foundational Knowledge Gathering, where recipients of Wildfire Resilient Futures Initiative (WRFI) funding from Natural Resources Canada shared key takeaways of their projects and demonstrated how their work is contributing to a more wildfire resilient future.
