Canadian Wildland Fire Risk Arising from Climate Change
Climate change is causally linked to increasing wildfire severity and changing fire behaviour. This presentation was featured as a short “lightning talk” at the 2025 WRCC Building Foundational Knowledge Gathering, where recipients of Wildfire Resilient Futures Initiative (WRFI) funding from Natural Resources Canada shared key takeaways of their projects and demonstrated how their work is contributing to a more wildfire resilient future.
Le changement climatique est étroitement lié à l’aggravation des feux de forêt et à l’évolution de leur comportement. Cette présentation a été présentée sous la forme d’un bref « exposé éclair » lors du rassemblement « Building Foundational Knowledge » du CRFFC de 2025, au cours duquel les bénéficiaires du financement de l’Initiative pour un avenir résilient face aux feux de forêt (WRFI) de Ressources naturelles Canada ont partagé les principaux enseignements tirés de leurs projets et démontré comment leurs travaux contribuent à un avenir plus résilient face aux feux de forêt.
